Butler University head coaches are pleased to sign autographs for our fans.  As a 501(c)(3) organization Butler also strives to assist other nonprofit organizations whenever possible.  Due to the large number of autograph requests we receive each year, we have established the following guidelines.

1. Due to NCAA (Bylaw 13.16.1), the following requests are not permissible and will be denied:
   1. High School – An item cannot directly or indirectly benefit a high school (9^th-12^th grade student, student-athlete, coach, staff, facilities, activity, etc.).
   2. Scholarship or School Foundations
   3. It is not permissible for an institution or a men’s basketball staff member to provide money or items to a nonprofit foundation that expends funds for the benefit of a:
      1. Prospective student-athlete (7^th-12^th  grade student);
      2. Individual associated with a prospective student-athlete; or
      3. Nonscholastic teams
      4. Donation requests will be considered when completed Autograph Item Request Form is received.
      5. One item per year (January 1 – December 31) per person or organization.
      6. Student-athletes are only available for autographs at Butler sanctioned events (e.g., promotional autograph sessions and post-competition at the respective athletics venue).
      7. Pre-Paid Postage/Shipping Label required if requester is unable to retrieve the item from Hinkle Fieldhouse.

All general requests will be signed by Butler Coach Brad Stevens.

Acceptable items: Basketball or any Bulldog memorabilia. These items may be purchased at Butler’s Bookstore or any sporting goods store.

All autographs are subject to the discretion of the department.  Please allow a minimum of 2 weeks for your request to be approved or denied. Autographs will be signed on or near the 15^th of each month.

• All requests must be made through a completed  Autograph Item Request Form 
  (Items sent to the basketball office without prior approval will not be accepted. Telephone requests will not be accepted).
• Autographed items are not for resale.
• Requesting organization must provide an email attachment or hard copy of the fundraiser’s flyer. Flyer can be sent to autographs@butler.edu.
• Requesting organization must be willing to provide additional information to the compliance office when needed.
• All autographs requested for personal use will be personalized.
• Upon approval, you will be notified by email with further instructions. If approved, you must purchase and provide one item to use at your event.

Once any organization or person receiving an item in the form of a gift donation from Butler University, that organization or person in receipt must adhere to the following guidelines:

a)    Autographed items cannot be sold or used for fundraising efforts that directly or indirectly benefits a high school or two-year college prospective student-athlete;

b)    Autographed items cannot be provided to a high school or to a high school coach or staff member;

c)    Autographed items cannot be provided to a high school athlete or the parents/relatives of a high school athlete;

d)   Autographed items cannot be provided to a high school booster or to a high school booster club.
