Butler names outstanding student-athletes for Fall 2005

Butler has announced its academic achievement awards for student-athletes for the Fall 2005 semester. Twelve student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA for the fall semester while 167 of 374 total student-athletes achieved at least a 3.25 GPA or currently maintain a cumulative GPA at or above 3.25.
The women's golf and women's swimming teams each finished with a total GPA of 3.46 to lead all athletic teams for the fall semester. Other top women's teams included track (3.28), cross country (3.23), soccer and tennis (3.18), and softball (3.10).
The men's golf team finished the semester with the highest total GPA of all men's teams at 3.27. They were followed by swimming (3.10), track (3.09), tennis (3.06), and basketball and soccer (2.99).
The twelve student-athletes who achieved a GPA of 4.0 for the fall semester and were named to the Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll were Ben Slaton and Drew Streicher (men's basketball), Gina Grussing (women's basketball), Kent Worries (men's cross country/track), Monica Behney (women's cross country/track), Joseph Frasca (football), Phillip Brauch (lacrosse), Paul Mongillo and Joseph Wienman (men's soccer), Kristen Haider and Kim Jenson (women's tennis), and Nina Inic (volleyball).
Student-athletes who achieved at least a 3.25 GPA and were named to the Athletics Director's Honor Roll were as follows:
Men's Cross Country/Track: Daniel Bardua, Matthew Dunham, Nicholas Goodliffe, Phillip Hawley, Adam Hill, Tyler Kos, Rishi Megha, Richard Mick, Nathan Schaefer, Kyle Schoof, Phillip Schwein, Chad Ware, Joshua Winebaugh, Sean Woolen, and Kent Wories.
Women's Cross Country/Track: Shelly Anderson, Monica Behney, Maria Beitel, Lisa Diederich, Genni Gardner, Paige Gribbins, Calli Grimes, Caitlin Helgesen, Kristina Hertzler, Sarah Kemple, Anna Kline, Karina Larsen, Kathryn Lucas, Michele Lyon, Jennifer Macke, Johanna Marvin, Maggie Mathieson, Victoria Mitchell, Ashley Salt, Aubrey Smith, Kari Splitt, Katie Stuckey, Elizabeth Wagoner, and Zoe Waggoner.
