John Parry Named President Of I-AA Athletic Directors Association

Butler University Director of Athletics John Parry has been named president of the NCAA Division I-AA Athletic Director's Association. Parry, who served as first vice-president of the football-based organization in 2004-05, will serve a one-year term in 2005-06.
Parry is beginning his 16th year as Butler's athletic director. He recently completed a four-year term as the Horizon League's representative to the NCAA Division I Management Council and a four-year term as a member of the Executive Committee of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. In June of 2003, he was named National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) I-AA/I-AAA Athletic Director of the Year in the Central Region of the USA. He is a past chair of the Horizon League athletic directors committee, a past chair of the NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Committee, and a past president of the Pioneer Football League. He is also a co-chairman of the Indianapolis Local Organizing Committee, established to host NCAA men's and women's basketball events.
Now heading into its 13th year, the Division I-AA Athletic Directors Association's mission is to enhance NCAA Division I-AA football. The Association is administered by NACDA, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary.
