The Bulldog Club Caps Off Another Record Year

INDIANAPOLIS – The Bulldog Club reached unprecedented numbers during the 2012-13 athletic year as membership swelled nearly 33% from a year ago. The 365 student-athletes and over 75 athletic staff members would like to thank everyone who supported the Bulldogs throughout the season.

On the year, a record-breaking 3,671 donors made gifts to Butler Athletics, which more than doubles the number of Bulldog Club members from just five years ago. Additionally, the number of members giving at the Gold Level ($1,000) and above increased by 40 percent from the previous year.  -- Giving to athletic annual funds, which include donations to the Bulldog Club Fund, Teams or Annual Athletic Scholarships, was the highest in the history of the athletic department.

“To have the fundraising success in both the Hinkle Campaign and our annual funds shows that Bulldog Club members are not only passionate about the future of Butler Athletics, but also the day-to-day success of our department and our student-athletes,” said Vice President and Director of Athletics Barry Collier. “With the renewed support and the increase in new members, we head into our next chapter of excellence as part of the BIG EAST Conference with great confidence and anticipation.”

Bulldog Club members have a direct impact on the student-athletes, coaches and athletic staff members by providing the resources that are essential in competing at a high level each season. Gifts of any size and any designation within the athletic department gain membership into the Bulldog Club.
