Chris Tinkey is in his third year on the sports medicine staff at Butler University. His primary sport responsibility is with football. He was promoted to Associate Athletic Trainer in 2010.

Tinkey earned his Master's Degree in Sports Administration at Ball State University in Muncie, Ind., in May 2008. While at Ball State, he served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer working with the baseball and football teams.

Tinkey earned his Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich., in April of 2006.

Originally from St. Joseph, Mich., he and his wife Andrea reside in Speedway, Ind.

Tinkey has been certified as an Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainer's Association since 2006.
