Alex Perry was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director of Business Operations in April 2015. In his current role, Perry oversees all of the day-to-day operations of the department’s business office and financial aid administration. In addition, he serves as the department’s IT Replacement Cycle Coordinator and has an active role in event operations. Perry also works closely with several other areas of the department including the ticket office, compliance, and development.
Prior to his current role, Perry served as an Assistant for Administration/Internal Operations before being hired as an Assistant Director of Business Operations. His responsibilities included the day-to-day management of the business office and oversight of all compliance and eligibility for the department’s 19 varsity sports. He also assisted in the administration of financial aid, event management, and served briefly as the department’s HR liaison.
A native of Morris, Ill., Perry attended Indiana University where he earned an undergraduate degree in management in 2010 and a master’s degree in Athletic Administration/Sport Management in 2011. During his time in Bloomington, he was a football student-athlete for the Hoosiers, where he was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree. As a student, Perry also served for a year as a sports marketing intern in the Athletic Department.
He and his wife, Danielle, reside in Indianapolis with their daughter Grace.
