LEXINGTON, Ky. - Sophomore outside hitter Anna Logan earned AVCA All-Region honors Tuesday, recognizing her as one of the nation's top talents. 
 
Nationally, Logan ranked in the top 10 of several offensive categories.  She finished fifth in total attacks (1,535), seventh in points (659.5) and ninth in total kills (578).
 
Logan led the BIG EAST conference in total kills and points during the 2016 campaign. Her 578 kills was the second-highest total in Butler history. A well-rounded player, Logan also provided the Bulldogs with 355 digs, 90 blocks and 31 service aces.

Logan led the team with 17 double-double performances, highlighted by a 29 kill-20 dig performance vs. Gonzaga in the season opener. 29 kills in a single match placed Logan in a tie for fourth place in the BU record book.
 
Logan recorded 20-plus kills in 12 matches, hitting double figures in all but three contests. She hit .253 on the year, reaching 578 kills on 1,535 attempts. The Indianapolis native averaged 4.41 kills per set, the third-highest total in school history.
 
Defensively, Logan was second on the team with 355 digs. Her season-high total of 24 came in a five-set thriller at Marquette where she also recorded 20 kills. At the net, Logan recorded at least one block in 32 of 34 matches to end the year with 90.
 
Logan helped the Bulldogs post a 20-14 overall record that included a 9-9 record against conference foes.  In November, she was voted to the All-BIG EAST First Team after making the second team as a true freshman.
