Fan Guide for Events at the Sellick Bowl

Butler Athletics strives to make your game day enjoyable. Please do your part to help make every game a safe event for all in attendance. 

SEATING CHART FOR FOOTBALL
SEATING FOR MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SOCCER IS GENERAL ADMISSION.

ACCESSIBLE SEATING
For events at the Sellick Bowl, accessible seating is available along the railing of each section. 

ADDRESS
The address for the Sellick Bowl is 510 W. 49th St, Indianapolis, IN 46208. It may appear in a standard navigational system as the Butler Bowl. It is surrounded by 49th Street to the south, Boulevard Place to the east, 52nd Street to the north and Sunset Ave. to the west.

ALCOHOL
Alcohol is sold at the concession stands for ticketed events at the Sellick Bowl. Proper identification must be shown at the point of purchase or at any time, if requested by event security.  There is a limit of two canned beverages or one "wine for two" per purchase.    

ANIMALS
Animals are not permitted at Athletic events. Exceptions are made for service animals with proper identification.

ATM
The ATM is located inside Gate 4, across from the Hinkle Spirit Shop.  Additionally, all concession and merchandise stands accept credit cards.

BEHAVIOR
Spectators are not allowed on the field or sidelines at any time before or during the game. Fans are also prohibited from throwing items onto the field. Such behavior will result in removal from the facility.

Butler reserves the right to remove individuals whose behavior disrupts players, coaches, officials, or other fans. No refunds will be given in these cases.

CONCESSIONS 
For all events at the Sellick Bowl, concessions are located in the east concourse of Hinkle Fieldhouse, adjacent to the Spirit Shop. For football, additional outdoor stands are available. 

The concession stands features items like local burgers and brats - grilled right in front of you, street tacos, house-smoked meats, and souvenir staples. Our local food program sources meat, produce, and other items from farms within 40 miles of Indianapolis.  Since our food is scratch made from fresh ingredients prepared simply, we are able to offer a healthier and better tasting option at almost all of our stands.

EMERGENCIES AND FIRST AID
First aid is available from on-site EMT's, located in the northeast corner of the field, adjacent to the seating section by the visitor sideline.  You may also alert any of the ESG security personnel or Butler Athletics staff member. 

GATES OPEN
For football, gates open 90 minutes prior to kick-off.  For men’s and women’s soccer, gates open 60 minutes prior to scheduled start time.

HOSPITALITY
The Bulldog Club offers hospitality in the Bulldog Club Terrace tent and Sellick Room.  The terrace tent is available at football for those at the $500 level and above.  Qualifying donors will be checked in at the door via a gate list.

LOST AND FOUND
Lost items should be turned into the Ticket Office at Gate 4.  

MERCHANDISE
Butler merchandise is available from the Follett Spirit Shop location inside Gate 4 on the lower level. The Spirit Shop will remain open for 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game.

METAL DETECTORS
Walk-through metal detectors are located at each main entrance to the Sellick Bowl for football.  For details, please click here

PARKING 
Parking is available for free in the main Hinkle lot for Men’s and Women’s Soccer. 
For football, tailgate passes are $20 per car (except Homecoming) in the Hinkle lot.  Event parking is also available in the Sunset Avenue garage for $10.     
  
PROHIBITED ITEMS

  • Weapons of any type including licensed concealed carry weapons, knives, mace, blades, tools, etc.
  • Outside food or beverage, with exception of one (1) unopened bottle of water per person on days where the temperature is in excess of 85 degrees. 
  • Laser pens or laser products of any type
  • Balloons
  • Air horns or noise makers of any type
  • Selfie sticks or telescopic devices
  • Signs, posters or messages on any garment with explicit language, profanity, or derogatory characterization directed toward any person
  • Smoking of any kind is prohibited, including e-cigarettes
  • Strollers
  • Drones or any other model aircraft
  • Animals or pets (excluding service animals)
  • Any other item deemed unacceptable by Butler University management.
RE-ENTRY
In accordance with state excise laws, re-entry (pass outs) are not permitted for events at the Sellick Bowl. 

RESTROOMS
Restrooms are also located in the lower level in both the east and west hallways of Hinkle Fieldhouse.  Portable toilets and hand-washing stations are also available in the tailgate lot at football. 

Gender inclusive and Family Restrooms are located in the east and west hallways.  Nursing mother accommodations are available in the Hinkle Fieldhouse family restrooms. A private and secure room is also available for nursing mother use with staff assistance. Please visit the Gate 4 Ticket Office to gain access to this space.

SIGNS
Signs are permitted inside the Sellick Bowl, provided they are no larger than a standard piece of poster board and are in good taste. All signage is subject to inspection by security or game operations personnel. 
 
Flags are permitted, however, they must be held and not affixed to a pole or a railing. 

SMOKING
The Sellick Bowl and Hinkle Fieldhouse are smoke-free facilities. The use of tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, inside the gates is strictly prohibited.

TICKETS
The Butler Ticket Office is located inside Gate 4 of Hinkle Fieldhouse. The ticket office is open from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For information on tickets, pricing and where to purchase, visit butlersports.com/buytickets or you may also call the Hinkle Ticket Office at (317) 940-DOGS (3647). On game day, fans are encouraged to purchase tickets at the Gate 4 Ticket Office. 

WATER
For events at the Sellick Bowl, fans are permitted to bring one unopened bottle of water on days where the temperature exceeds 85 degrees. Reusable bottles are always permitted inside the gates of the Sellick Bowl, provided they are empty. Empty water bottles may be filled at the water fountains inside the building.
