400 Free Relay Team Leads Bulldogs At BSU Relays

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Butler women's team concluded a busy weekend of competition by competing at the Ball State Relays Saturday. The 400 free relay team, featuring a team of four freshmen, led the way for the Bulldogs.

"Everyone's spirit, team encouragement and focus on their events really helped us swim well and be more competitive than in our home opener back on Oct. 3."

The 400 free relay team, consisting of Lauren Lambrecht, Kaitie Ring, Lauren Need and Kathleen Brennan, placed fourth 3:55.99, just shy of Ball State for third.

Butler also saw success in the 800 free relay (Brannen, Need, Kyle Johannsen, Lambrecht) and 200 medley relay (Ring, Brannen, Lambrecht, Need).

Butler's next meet is a five-team event Friday, Oct. 15 at Cleveland State.
