Bulldogs Get Tuneup At Cleveland State

CLEVELAND - The Butler women's swimming team had a shot to compete in the Busbey Natatorium at Cleveland State, giving the Bulldogs a chance to experience the pool that will host the 2011 Horizon League Swimming Championships.

"This was a great opportunity for our team to get meet experience at the conference meet pool," head coach Maurice Stewart said. "We performed well and we continue to improve with each meet."

Kathleen Brannnen swam well in the 1000 free with an 11:10.71. Kaitie Ring had a solid meet, posting her season best 100 back with 1:02.24. She later added a personal best in the 200 IM with 2:20.14. Ring also delivered a good split on short rest to anchor the 200 free relay.

Jessica Onstwedder (200 back), Regan Girten (50 free) and Alyson Fosnot (200 breast) each registered season-best performances as well. Lauren Need had a great swim in the 500 free, registering a 5:27.68.
