Bulldogs Get Championships Test Run At UIC
The Butler swimming team recently competed in its 4th event of the season, a quad meet at UIC. The contest gave the Bulldogs a sneak peek at the pool which will be hosting the Horizon League Championships in February.

BU Successful In Home Quad Meet
Butler swimming hosted a quadrangular meet this weekend, welcoming IUPUI, Xavier and Evansville to the pool at Fishers High School. A host of Bulldog swimmers had solid performances, as a number of different swimmers led the team in each stroke.

Bulldog Swimming Competes At IUPUI
Sophomore Megan Wesler won the 200 IM and had several other strong swims to lead the Butler women’s swimming team at its triangular meet at IUPUI. The host Jaguars and Centre College were the other two teams in the meet.

The Butler women’s swimming & diving team opened the 2009-10 campaign Sunday, hosting Wright State, Evansville and St. Louis at Fishers High School. Stephanie Moles, Megan Wesler and Nikki Weston were among the Bulldogs’ leaders in the meet.

Three home meets and a winter training trip to Puerto Rico highlight the 2009-10 Butler swimming and diving schedule. The Bulldogs open the season Sunday, Oct. 4 with a quad meet in Fishers.

Swimming Adds Nine To 2009-10 Roster
Butler women’s swimming head coach Maurice Stewart continued his building up of the program with the announcement of the 2009-10 recruiting class. The Bulldogs will feature a total of nine newcomers this fall, nearly doubling the size of the roster from the previous season.

Eight Student-Athletes Named To Winter Academic All-League Teams
Eight Butler student-athletes have been named to the 2008-09 Winter Academic All-Horizon League Teams, the conference office announced on Wednesday (April 29) afternoon. Two Bulldog men's basketball players, three women's swimmers and three men's indoor track athletes were mentioned among the 76 honorees.

Butler Swimming Caps Record-Setting Season
The Butler women's swimming team completed a record-setting 2008-09 campaign at the Horizon League Championship at the end of February, putting an exclamation point on another strong season.
