Former Butler men's swimmer Jason Brozek returns to BU as an assistant coach with the women's swimming program.
AS A JUNIOR (2005-06): Men's team captain...posted lifetime bests in the 100 breast (59.32 - 8th) and in the 200 IM (1:56.74 - 13th) at the Horizon League Championships...both times are top-10 all-time...member of the 400 free relay (46.93), 800 free relay (1:45.57), 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay...400 free relay ranks 2nd all-time.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2004-05): Posted season-best times in the 100-yd. breaststroke (1:01.33), 200-yd. breaststroke (2:11.16) and 400-yd. individual medley (4:14.79) at the 2005 Horizon League Championships...all three times were good for Top 16 finishes.
AS A FRESHMAN (2003-04): Posted season-best times in the 100-yd. breaststroke (1:01.17), 200-yd. breaststroke (2:10.27) and 400-yd. individual medley (4:18.52) at the 2004 Horizon League Championships.
AT GREAT BEND HIGH: Three-year letterwinner...all-state honoree as a senior...three-time state qualifier...team captain...all-conference...holds three school records as a member of two relays and in the 100-yd. breaststroke...posted five top-eight finishes at the state championships...high school coach: Steve Beaumont.
PERSONAL: Born October 5, 1984...son of Jeff and Rhonda Brozek...sister, Jessica, is a swimmer at Kansas...history major.
