Korey McCulley joins the Butler coaching ranks for the 2007-08 season after completing a decorated swimming career with the Bulldogs swim team. McCulley wrapped up his senior season on the men's team in 2006-07 as the squad's leading backstroker, swimming to season-best times in the 100 back (53.84) and 200 back (2:05.80). He also proved to be one of the team's top sprinters, posting the fastest time of the year in the 50 free (21.75) and the second-best in the 100 (48.15). As a junior, he received the "Coaches Award" at the swim team banquet and was presented with the Butler Mental Attitude Award at the All Sports Banquet.

McCulley was a two-year letterwinner and team captain at Great Bend (Kan.) High School, where he was an all-state and all-conference selection
