Seasons at Butler: Third Season
Former Bulldog Carlton Racette begins his third season as a graduate assistant coach for the Butler swimming program after enjoying a standout four-year career for the Bulldogs.

Racette's duties include assisting with on-deck coaching, recruiting and team travel coordinating. In practice, he is in charge of dryland and weight conditioning and is the primary backstrokers' coach.

A four-year member of the Butler swim team, Racette served as a two-time captain. He currently holds school records in both the 200-yd. butterfly (1:55.26) and the 200-yd. individual medley (1:54.93).

In addition, Racette ranks second in school history in the 400-yd. individual medley (4:06.23) and ranks in Butler's all-time Top 10 in six different races covering four of the five disciplines.

Prior to arriving at Butler, Racette was a 14-time state qualifier at George Jenkins High School in Lakeland, Fla. A four-year letterwinner and eight-time city and county champion, Racette also won four district titles. As a senior, he placed fifth in the 200-yd. individual medley and seventh in the 100-yd. butterfly at the state championships.

The team captain and MVP also earned Lakeland Ledger and Tampa Tribune Polk County "Swimmer of the Year" honors. Racette led his team to four undefeated seasons and also swam for the Lakeland Aquatic club team.

Racette is continuing work toward his pharmacy degree at Butler.
