Brozek Scores Win, But Wright State Tops Butler University

Dayton, Ohio - Jason Brozek scored the Bulldogs' lone win against Wright State, swimming to a season-best time in the 200 IM, but the Raiders claimed victory in the final team scores, as WSU topped the Butler men's team, 131-62, and the women's squad, 128-60.
Brozek notched a season-best 2:00.71 in the 200 IM, beating the Raiders' Dave Cruickshank by just under a second. Raj Duggal followed with a third-place time of 2:02.52.
Borzek also tallied a season-best mark in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:56.99, while Josh Bennett recorded personal-best marks of 5:34.55 in the 500 free and a 2:00.21 in the 200 free.
The women's team received a strong showing from Mary Beth Arnold, who tabbed a runner-up showing in the 100 freestyle with a season-best time of 56.87. She also finished with a second-place time of 26.14 in the 50 free.
Momo Wilson notched two season-best times in the meet, swimming the 200 IM in 2:33.30 and the 100 breast in 1:14.27.
Arnold also joined Sarah Lynne Gates, Elizabeth Shafer and Stephanie Moles in swimming a season-best 1:46.60 in the 200 free relay.
The Bulldogs return to the Carmel High School pool on Sunday (Feb. 4) when they host Xavier and Vincennes beginning at 12:00 noon. Prior to the meet, the Bulldogs will honor their four seniors: Arnold, Brozek, Duggal and Korey McCulley.
