Duggal Sets School Record On Second Day Of Horizon League Championships

Chicago - Senior Raj Duggal swam to a school-record time in the 500 freestyle and the Bulldogs notched three other top-10 marks as Butler continued its fast times on the second day of the Horizon League Championships on Thursday (Feb. 22) at Flames Natatorium.
Duggal, swimming in the finals heat of the 500 free, topped his own record with a time of 4:35.59 to finish fifth in the event.
Meanwhile, Jason Brozek notched an all-time top mark and a seventh-place finish in the 200 IM, swimming the trip in 1:55.86, while Jimmy Howard added a top-10 showing in the 50 free, swimming to a personal-best 21.83.
On the women's side, Mary Beth Arnold added another top-10 mark to her illustrious career, topping her previous time in the 200 IM with a 2:12.09.
The third day of the tournament gets underway on Friday (Feb. 23) with prelims at 10:30 a.m. (CST), diving at 2:00 p.m. and swimming finals at 6:00 p.m.
