Men's Swimming Closes Season With School Record 400 Free Relay

Chicago - The final event of the 2007 Horizon League Championships proved to be one of the best for the Butler swimming team, as the women's 400 freestyle relay team scored a season-best mark and the men's team notched a school-record time. In all, the Bulldogs tallied three school records and a list of top-10 marks.
The women's 400 freestyle relay team of Sarah Lynne Gates, Elizabeth Shafer, Ali Overgaard and Mary Beth Arnold finished their meet with a season-best time of 3:44.24, while the men's squad of Raj Duggal, Korey McCulley, Jason Brozek and Jimmy Howard finished with a bang, scoring a school-record time of 3:09.38.
Gates also improved on her top-10 mark in the 200 backstroke, swimming to a 2:13.59, while Brozek added one of the 10-best times in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:08.66. Arnold, meanwhile, finished less than a second off of her school-record 200 breaststroke time with a 2:13.71.
Travis Cheney added another strong showing for the Bulldogs, completing the 200 butterfly in a personal season-best 2:09.92.
