"For our first meet, I thought we raced the competition well as a team" head coach Maurice Stewart said. "There were several close races where our swimmers finished first.

"This meet was also a great opportunity for both coaches and swimmers to identify strengths and weaknesses in their primary and secondary events. Overall, I was pleased with the way we competed today, and I am confident they will carry this competitiveness into our first home meet at Carmel."

For their efforts in the meet, Altepeter and Gordon were named the Butler Swimmers of the Meet by coach Stewart.

The Bulldogs return to action on Sunday (Oct. 15) when they host Evansville, Saint Louis and Valparaiso at Carmel High School beginning at 1:00 p.m.
