Feb. 2, 2007

Indianapolis, Ind. - Butler will recognize its four senior members on Sunday (Feb. 4) when the Bulldogs take on Vincennes and Xavier beginning at 12:00 noon at the Carmel High School pool. Mary Beth Arnold, Jason Brozek, Raj Duggal and Korey McCulley will all be honored in a ceremony prior to the meet.

Arnold has been the Bulldogs' most dominant women's breaststroker during her four years, touting school records in both the 100 and 200 breaststrokes and holding top times in both events as well as the 200 and 400 IM this year.

Brozek has been one of the strongest men's breastrokers during his tenure with Butler, ranking in the top-10 all-time in the 100 and 200 breast as well as the 200 and 400 IM.

Duggal will be concluding one of the most dominant distance careers in Bulldog history, finishing his four-year stint as the all-time record-holder in the 200, 500, 1,000 and 1,650 freestyles.

McCulley, meanwhile, has been one of the team's top sprinter during his time with the Bulldogs, ranking in the top-10 all-time in the 50 freestyle and the 100 backstroke.

The 2006-07 season featured one of its highest points in October, as the Bulldog men's and women's squads combined to notch 19 event wins en route to dual meet wins over Transylvania on Oct. 21. The team victory was the first for the women since the 2004 season, while the men's team scored its first since 2001.

The meet will also be the final regular season contest for the Bulldogs before the Horizon League Championships, beginning on Feb. 21 at the UIC Natatorium in Chicago.
