Swimming Heads To Horizon League Championships On Wednesday

The Butler men's and women's swimming teams wrap up the 2006-07 campaign this week when they compete in the Horizon League Championships, running Feb. 21-24, at the Flames Natatorium in Chicago.

The tournament begins on Wednesday (Feb. 21) with diving at 2:00 p.m. and swimming finals at 6:00 p.m. The remainder of the week (Feb. 22-24) will feature preliminary swimming at 10:30 a.m., diving at 2:00 p.m. and swimming finals at 6:00 p.m.

The Bulldogs' 2006-07 regular season featured a pair of dual meet wins for both teams. The men's team notched its first dual-meet victory since 2001 while the women's squad scored its first since 2004 as the two teams combined to notch 19 event wins en route to victories over Transylvania on Oct. 21. The Bulldogs concluded the regular slate on another high note, as both squads notched decisions over Vincennes in front of the home crowd on Senior Day on Feb. 4.
