The Butler women's swimming team squares off with a pair of Horizon League rivals this weekend, as the Bulldogs head to Milwaukee, Wis., on Saturday (Nov. 8) for a 2:00 p.m. ET meet against Milwaukee, UIC and non-league foe North Dakota.
Butler will face its fourth and fifth league opponents of the season in the Panthers and Flames. The Bulldogs opened up the year against Valparaiso on Oct. 5 and met Cleveland State (Oct. 31) and Youngstown State (Nov. 1) last weekend.
Senior Sarah Lynne Gates has been the team's top performer in the sprint freestyle, backstroke and IM events during the year, boasting season-best marks in the 50 and 100 free, 100 and 200 back, and 200 and 400 IM. She has also stepped up in the distance events, posting a team-best time in the 1,000 freestyle.
Sophomore Leigh Weston has continued to thrive in the breaststroke events, touting season-best times in both the 100 and 200. Junior Stephanie Moles also boasts a pair of top marks, coming in the 500 freestyle and the 200 butterfly.
The Bulldogs' meet this weekend will be their final action for nearly a month. Butler will return to competition from Dec. 5-6 for the House of Champions Invitational at the IUPUI Natatorium.
