Butler Wraps Up Competition At Polytan Invitational

Butler's track and field squad closed out three days of competition at the weather-delayed Polytan Invitational on Saturday, April 23.  The non-scoring meet hosted by Indiana University featured competitors from more than 20 teams.

Tom Brueggemann turned in one of Butler's top performances with a seventh place finish in the men's 100 meter dash in 11.14.  He also placed 11th in the men's 200 in 22.34.

Brent Seven came in ninth in the men's 110 meter hurdles in 15.43.  Alex Berry finished 10th in the men's 400 in 48.96 and Craig Jordan placed 10th in the men's 1500 in 3:57.41.

Matt Proctor posted a fourth place finish in the men's 3000 meter steeplechase in 9:48.28, while Matt Lawder came in sixth in the same race in 9:55.70.  Shelbi Burnett placed sixth in the women's 3000 meter steeplechase in 11:09.17.
