Bulldogs Open Indoor Track Season

NORMAL, ILL. -- Butler kicked off its 2010-11 indoor track and field season with a partial squad competing at the Early Bird Open, hosted by Illinois State at Horton Field House on Saturday, Dec. 4.  Team scores were not kept at the open meet.

Craig Jordan paced Butler’s men with a runner-up finish in the men’s mile run (4:25.09) and a third place finish in the men’s 800 (2:00.40).  Thomas Brueggeman placed third in the men’s 200 (22.9) and seventh in the men’s 60-yard dash (7.11), while Alex Berry came in fourth in the men’s 400 (52.11) and ninth in the men’s 200 (23.45).  Brent Sever placed fourth in the men’s 60 hurdles (9.57).

Freshman Maddie Cassidy led Butler’s women with an 11th place finish in the women’s 200 (28.32) and a 16th place finish in the women’s 400 (1:03.91).
