McKillop's School Record Highlights Day At Stanford Invitational
STANFORD, Calif. - Lauren McKillop posted a
school-record 35:24.28 in the section 1 10K run to highlight the
Butler track team's performance at the Stanford Invitational. Six
BU runners recorded lifetime bests in addition to McKillop's
record-breaking run.
The Bulldogs had seven runners competing, and six turned in lifetime-best efforts. Marbeth Shiell, running in the section 3 5K race, clocked 16:34.16. That run was good for 10th overall.
Four men's athletes posted lifetime bests. Callum Hawkins placed 5th and clocked 14:17.57 in the section 3 5K run. Justin Roeder (29:52.44), Tom Boardman (29:52.59) and Craig Gundersen (30:27.37) all turned in lifetime bests in the section 2 10K. Roeder placed 13th of 42 runners, with Boardman right behind in 14th place.
In addition, Katie Clark ran a 17:01.72 in the section 2 5K run.
