Butler’s Tom Curr Earns League Track Honor
Freshmen Tom Curr ran his first indoor mile and earned his second Horizon League track and field honor. Curr was one of two athletes named Horizon League Male Track and Field Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 30-Feb. 5.

A pair of strong performances in the Meyo Mile and a two new school records highlighted the perform of Butler’s track and field squad at the Meyo Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 3-4.

One record effort, one near-record performance and a strong one-two punch in the women’s 3,000 meter run highlighted a strong two-day performance by the Butler track and field squad at the Indiana Relays. The non-scoring meet at Indiana’s Gladstein Field House wrapped up on Saturday, Jan. 28.

Three Bulldogs Earn League Track Honor
Freshmen Tom Curr and Nicole Hudec and sophomore Nigel Spears turned in top performances at the Hoosier Open and the three have been named Horizon League Track and Field Athletes of the Week. Curr was chosen Men’s Runner of the Week, Hudec claimed Women’s Field Athlete of the Week recognition and Spears was named Men’s Field Athlete of the Week.

Newcomers Tom Curr and Nicole Hudec turned in record-breaking performances to highlight another strong showing by Butler’s track and field squad at the Hoosier Open on Friday, December 9. It was the second consecutive meet that the Bulldogs assaulted the Butler record book.

Junior Kirsty Legg and freshman Nicole Hudec, who accounted for three Butler track and field records at the Notre Dame Blue and Gold Meet, have been named Horizon League Women’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week. Legg was named league Runner of the Week, while Hudec claimed league Field Athlete of the Week recognition.
