Freshman Monica Behney and junior Rholonda Ash posted the top individual finishes for Butler's women and freshman Mitch Briggs had the highest finish for Butler's men at the Ball State Open Indoor Track and Field Meet on Saturday, Jan. 11. The Bulldogs were one of nine teams competing in the non-scoring meet.
Behney came in fourth in the 3,000-meter run in 10:39.19, while Ash finished fifth in the 400 meter dash in 1:01.26. Sophomore Jill Snyder posted a sixth place finish in the pole vault with a jump of 10-02.
Briggs, competing in his first meet with the Bulldogs, captured a sixth place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 41-04.50. He also finished ninth in the long jump with a distance of 19-08. Sophomore Chris King came in eighth in the shot put with a toss of 44-03.50.
