Butler Hosts Stan Lyons Invitational On Saturday

Indianapolis, Ind. - Almost 1,000 competitors will gather at the Michael A. Carroll Track and Field Stadium on the campus of IUPUI on Saturday (April 28) when the Butler men's and women's track and field teams host the 2007 Stan Lyons Invitational.

The event will open with field events taking place at 12:00 noon before running events get underway at 3:00 p.m. Admission to the meet is $5.00.

The meet will feature some of the finest regional competitors, including Butler, Ball State, Indiana, Indiana State and the University of Indianapolis.

The Stan Lyons Invitational is named for coach Stan Lyons, the long-time Butler track and cross country mentor who was also the 1958 NCAA Champion in the pole vault while competing at Ohio State.
