Bulldogs Compete At Hoosier Invitational
BLOOMINGTON, IND. -- While the bulk of the team took the weekend off in preparation for the upcoming NCAA Regionals, a handful of Butler runners competed at the Hoosier Invitational in Bloomington. The non-scoring meet attracted runners from seven schools.
Sophomore Erica Carlson posted the top finish for the Bulldogs. She came in eighth in the women's race in 19:19.24. Freshman Samantha Turley finished 16th in 19:54.62, while freshman Stephanie Hanagan wound up 29th in 20:54.39. Freshman Christina McKnight placed 32nd in 21:35.60 and freshman Madeline Schmitz finished 35th in 22:49.24.
Freshman Keigan Culler topped Butler's men with a 16th place finish in 26:52.62, while freshman Sage Kosiorek finished 18th in 26:56.32. Sophomore Jahi Gains wound up 32nd in 27:52.64.
The NCAA Great Lakes Regional Meet will be held on Friday, Nov. 9, in Wisconsin.
