Kaleena Bruckbauer is in her first season as assistant coach for the men's and women's cross country teams and the men's and women's track teams at Butler. She previously had served for one season as a volunteer assistant coach for the track and cross country teams at Purdue University. Bruckbauer was a four-year member of the track and cross country teams at Purdue, 2002-06. She was a four-year letterwinner in cross country and a track and field team captain as a senior. She earned Academic All-Big Ten honors for three straight years, and she was named an Academic All-American in 2005. She further was named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll and was a President's Cup Team Member (Highest Team GPA). Bruckbauer, who attended Bishop Chatard High School in Indianapolis, earned a B.A. degree in Movement and Sports Science from Purdue in May of 2006. She served as a teaching assistant in the Health and Kinesiology Department at Purdue from August, 2006, to May, 2007, while working on her Masters Degree in Health and Fitness. She's married to Nick Bruckbauer.
