Junior Thomas Frazer led the Bulldogs at the Great Lakes Regional Saturday, posting an 18th-place finish with a time of 30:54.4. Olly Laws finished ten seconds later, 21st overall. The men's team placed seventh, the same position as a year ago when they received an NCAA Championships "at-large" berth.
Monika Schneider led the women to a ninth place team finish. The junior finished 23rd overall in 21:29.3. Senior Becky Lyne finished nine seconds behind her teammate, 25th overall.
Wisconsin won the men's team competition, while Michigan earned the other automatic NCAA berth with their second-place finish. Eastern Michigan's Gavin Thompson was the overall winner, with a time of 30:12 in the 10,000-meter race. On the women's side, Notre Dame and Michigan finished in the top two spots. The Fighting Irish's Molly Huddle finished first overall, covering the 6,000 meters in 20:14.7.
