Coach Farley on Montagano: "Alex played several positions for us
last year in a utility role. He can catch, play the outfield or
play a corner infield position. His best tool is his bat. He makes
consistent hard contact and knows how to move runners. He is one of
the more vocal leaders on our team." 2008: Started in 23 of his 31
games played...batted .288 with a .412 on base percentage...hit
.349 in 16 Horizon League games...boasted a .417 on base percentage
against league foes...totaled six multi-hit games...went 5-for-11
