Coach Farley on Fillipitch: "Grant was one of our top hitters
for much of last season. He'll start the spring as our No. 1 third
baseman and could also see action at shortstop or at first base. He
has the ability to hit for a high average and for power. His
teammates see him as a quiet leader on this team." 2008: Finished
his rookie season fourth on the team with a .275 batting
average...started in 35 of his 44 games played...tied for third
with eight doubles and three homers...ranked fifth with 18 RBI and
42 hits...his .386 slugging percentage was the fourth-best on the
