Mike Hernandez
Coach Farley on Hernandez: "Mike was one of our top pitching
recruits coming in this fall. He has good movement on his fastball,
and he gets a lot of break on his curveball. He continues to refine
his change up. He'll see early action as a long relief pitcher and
spot starter. We think Mike has an excellent future at Butler."
High School: Posted a 7-1 record and a 3.14 ERA during his senior
year at Crown Point High School...helped the team to a 29-3 record
as a junior and a 28-5 mark as a senior...the team earned sectional
and regional championships both seasons...member of the National
Honor Society...head coach: Steve Strayer...Personal: Born April
29, 1990...son of Tricia and Pete Hernandez...marketing major.
