Austin Nickol
Coach Farley on Nickol: "Austin was named co-winner of the
Mental Attitude Award by his teammates last spring. He has been an
excellent student and competitor at Butler. His playing time will
be limited due to an injury, but he continues to encourage his
teammates and will do whatever he can to help the team win." 2008:
Played in 13 games, including six as a starter...went 1-for-3 with
a singles at Milwaukee (May 10)...2007: Came off the bench in all
but two games...singled, scored a run and drove in one at Wright
State (4/10)...scored a run at Marian (4/24)...2006: Saw action in
six games, including two as a starter...drove in a run and scored
once after collecting his first career hit against Marian
(2/22)...High School: Honorable mention All-State catcher for
unbeaten 4A state champ Brownsburg High School...all-conference and
all-Metro West player...batted .400 with 26 RBI's as a
senior...helped high school squad to a 35-0 record in 2005...played
on back-to-back state runner-up teams in 2003 and 2004...earned
four varsity letters in baseball...high school coach: Pat
