The Butler baseball and softball programs got together for a "challenge" game Friday (Nov. 6) at the Butler softball diamond. The baseball Bulldogs won, 3-2.
Baseball's Bobby Mosser smacked a line-drive double to right-center to score the winning run.
It was the 2nd time the two programs have gotten together for a friendly game, and both teams enjoyed getting a glimpse of how their gender counterpart sport is played.
"The sun was low in the sky and directly behind the pitchers, so I'm surprised anybody got any hits today," baseball coach Steve Farley said. "I think this game gives our players a healthy respect for the softball players and how challenging their game is. It was fun to watch both teams compete and have fun."
