Butler Baseball Alumni Spotlight: Craig Kessler
In the sixth edition of the Butler Baseball Alumni Spotlight, we
catch up with Craig Kessler '92. Kessler started 44 games on the
mound for the Bulldogs during his career, totaling 12 wins and 18
complete games.
1. What year did you graduate from Butler and what was
your major?
I graduated in ’92 with a degree in Economics.
2. What was the biggest win of your Butler career?
The biggest win was over Western Kentucky (a 4-2 Bulldog
win in 1990).
3. What is your favorite memory of playing baseball at
Butler?
My favorite memory at Butler is making the team as a walk-on.
4. What is your current occupation?
I am currently the President and CIO of Kessler
Investment Group, LLC.
5. Who is the toughest hitter you ever faced in
college?
The best hitter was Craig Counsell from Notre Dame. (Counsell
plays for the Milwaukee Brewers and is currently in his 15th season
in the big leagues).
6. Tell us about your family.
I am married to the former Mary Parr Whitehead '92. We have four
children: Adam (13), Davis (11), Alex (10) and Julia (8).
