Baseball Volunteers at River Clean-Up Project

INDIANAPOLIS – The Butler baseball team volunteered in a community service project on Tuesday Sept. 24 when they partnered with Kevin Hardie and the White River Group to participate in a river clean-up effort near the Butler campus.

White River is threatened by pollution due to its location. In 1997, the White River was listed as one of the United States' most threated rivers.

Baseball team members wanted to make a difference so they canoed from the Rocky Ripple Town Hall to the International School located off Michigan Rd. picking up litter and trash.
