The Blue squad got good pitching, solid defense and timely hitting to edge the Gray Tuesday night, 5-1. With the win, the Blue takes a 3-2 lead in the Butler Fall World Series.

The Blue took Game 3 but the Gray rallied for a blowout win in Game 4 as the Butler Fall World Series is now tied 2-2. Game 5 of the best-of-seven will be played Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m.

A three-run rally in the 6th inning helped push the Blue Team to a 4-3 win over the Gray Wednesday night in Butler baseball’s Fall World Series. The series is now tied 1-1.

Junior Luke Duncan’s clutch double in the bottom of the 7th concluded a dramatic 4-3 win for the Blue squad Tuesday night in Game 1 of Butler’s Fall World Series. The winning Blue team was coached by volunteer assistant Bobby Segal.

Butler Baseball Enjoys Successful Alumni Games
An alumni baseball squad that included eight former or current professional players defeated Butler’s current varsity team, 7-5, before a big crowd at Bulldog Park on Saturday, Sept. 26. Pro players returning to campus for the exhibition included pitchers Ryan Kruszka, Ryan Harber, John Corcoran and Brandon Leese.

Three Butler baseball players spent their summer playing on a national championship summer league team. Sophomores Mike Hoscheit and Brian Padove and transfer Corey Moylan helped the Crystal Lake Cardinals of Illinois win the 2009 NABF Summer College World Series in Toledo, Ohio.
