Butler Falls To 1-5 On Spring Trip

Butler's baseball squad slipped to 1-5 on its spring trip to Florida with a 5-2 loss to Connecticut at the Kennel Club Classic in Jacksonville, Fla., on Thursday (March 11). The setback dropped the Bulldogs to 3-8 on the season, while UConn improved to 5-5.
The Huskies scored three runs in the seventh inning to break a 2-2 tie and hand Butler its fifth straight loss in Florida. The Bulldogs have dropped two games to UConn this week and will meet the Huskies again on Saturday, March 13.
Butler continues its eight-game spring break trip with a contest against Illinois State on Friday, March 12.
