Indianapolis, Ind. - Butler put together an impressive offensive showing in its fall season scrimmage on Saturday (Oct. 6), as the Bulldogs ousted visiting Sinclair Community College, 17-4, at Bulldog Park.
A trio of freshmen provided the bulk of the scoring for the Bulldogs. Infielders Grant Fillipitch and Kevin Rotherham each posted three hits on the afternoon, with Fillipitch collecting a triple, double and three RBI and Rotherham doubling and driving in a pair. Rookie catcher Brian Bajer also drove in three runs on a double.
Sophomore infielder Bobby Mosser added a pair of hits, two runs scored and an RBI.
Meanwhile, the Butler arms held the visitors to just four runs on 10 hits while walking two and striking out 10. Sophomores Jamie Feldheiser and Tyler Szymczak, as well as freshman Jared Wagoner, each tossed perfect frames in the contest.
