MyINDY-TV To Broadcast 12 Butler Basketball Games
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – After a second straight appearance in
the NCAA Division I national championship game, Butler Basketball
returns to MyINDY-TV 23.
For the fourth season in a row, MyINDY-TV 23 brings Butler Bulldog
Basketball to local television viewers all across Central Indiana,
with a minimum of 12* LIVE game broadcasts from the historic Hinkle
Fieldhouse and on the road.
“MyINDY-TV 23 is pleased to welcome Butler Basketball back
for a fourth season. Once again, we’re providing fans
this front row seat experience in high definition,” said Jeff
White, president and general manager of MyINDY-TV 23 and
WISH-TV. “These broadcasts continue our commitment and
the dedication of resources we’ve made to producing the
highest quality local sports and event programming Central Indiana
viewers want. We look forward to another successful season
together.”
Butler returns eight letter winners from last year’s 28-10
squad. Last season, the Bulldogs captured the Horizon League
regular season and tournament championships and won the Diamond
Head Classic in Hawaii. Butler’s NCAA Tournament run
included a championship in the Southeast Region and second straight
appearance in the Final Four and a second consecutive national
runner-up finish.
“We’re excited to continue our partnership with
MyINDY-TV 23,” said Brad Stevens, Butler head coach.
“Our fans appreciate having at least 12 games televised
locally again this season.”
Zionsville, Indiana native Brad Stevens heads into his fifth
season as Butler’s Head Coach. Stevens sits on top of
the list for best basketball coaching starts in NCAA History.
A two time Horizon League Coach of the Year, he has guided the
Bulldogs to 117 wins in his career, breaking the previous four-year
NCAA Division I record of 107 wins. He also holds the NCAA
three-year record with 89 victories.
