Hoops of Hope Fundraiser
September 6, 2008
Please join the Butler Men's Basketball program for its inaugural Hoops of Hope free throw shoot-a-thon at Butler University on September 6, 2008. Hoops of Hope is an organization created to raise awareness and funds for children orphaned by HIV/Aids. Hoops of Hope was founded by 13 year-old Austin Gutwein in the Spring of 2004, and since then has raised almost $400,000. It's our turn to add to that total!

Who Can Participate?
Boys and Girls entering Grades 1-8 in the fall of 2008 are eligible to participate. Grades 1-2 will be shooting their Free Throws on an eight-foot basket. Grades 3-4 will be shooting their Free Throws on a nine-foot basket. Grades 5-8 will be shooting on a regulation, ten-foot basket.
What Are the Benefits of Participating?
You will have a direct influence on how much we can raise to help Hoops of Hope. Service to others and lending a hand are the greatest benefits of participating.
The top free throw shooters in each grade will be invited to a Butler practice and given two tickets to attend a Butler home basketball game.
What Do You Need to Do?
