@ButlerMBB Adds Memphis Transfer Avery Woodson
Woodson, who will graduate from Memphis in the coming weeks, will enroll in a graduate program at Butler. He will arrive on campus this summer and have one season of eligibility remaining. The 6-2 guard averaged 9.6 points and shot 43 percent from three-point range for Memphis during the 2015-16 season.

Butler seniors Kellen Dunham and Roosevelt Jones had impressive performances at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, which concluded on Saturday, April 16. The four-day, 12-game tournament was held in Virginia in front of representatives from each of the NBA's 30 teams.

Dunham and Jones Receive Invitations to Portsmouth Tournament
Butler’s Kellen Dunham and Roosevelt Jones have been invited to the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, which is a four-day, 12-game tournament held in Virginia in front of representatives from each of the NBA’s 30 teams. The tournament begins Wednesday, April 13 and runs through Saturday, April 16.

Butler senior Kellen Dunham is among 20 players selected by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) to participate in the 2016 Reese’s Division I College All-Star Game, which will be played on Reese’s Final Four Friday® as part of the 2016 NCAA® Division I Men’s Final Four®.

Butler University and Be The Match Announce Partnership in Honor of Late Andrew Smith Butler Bulldog Blue III Named Ambassador for National Bone Marrow Registry
Indianapolis, IN - Butler University has entered into a partnership with Be The Match, which operates the national bone marrow registry, honoring the late Butler Bulldog, Andrew Smith, who bravely fought a two-year battle with cancer. As an element of the partnership, Butler’s live bulldog mascot, Butler Blue III (commonly referred to as “Trip”) has been named a national ambassador for Be The Match.

@ButlerMBB Season Closes with NCAA Tournament Loss to Virginia
Butler’s 2015-16 season came to a close Saturday night in Raleigh, N.C., as the ninth-seeded Bulldogs lost to Midwest Region top seed Virginia, 77-69, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Butler ends the season with a 22-11 record, while the Cavaliers (28-7) advance to the Sweet 16 next weekend.

Butler advances to play Virginia, the No. 1 seed in the Midwest Region, Saturday (March 19) in the second round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament. The game is scheduled for PNC Arena in Raleigh, N.C. The ninth-seeded Bulldogs are 22-10 and have won eight of their last 11 games. The Cavaliers are 27-7 overall. The game will air on TBS at 7:10 p.m. Indiana Pacers great Reggie Miller is part of the broadcast crew, joining Kevin Harlan and Dan Bonner.
