Alex Barlow To Compete In Three-Point Shootout
Butler senior Alex Barlow will step on the famed court at Hinkle Fieldhouse for one final time when he participates in the 27th Annual State Farm Slam Dunk & Three-Point Championships on Thursday, April 2, during Final Four week in Indianapolis. The event is scheduled 7-9 p.m. (ET) on the Butler campus and will be televised on ESPN.

Butler Head Coach Chris Holtmann has been named one of 16 finalists for the 2015 Jim Phelan National Coach of the Year Award, presented annually to the top coach in Division I men’s basketball. The 16 finalists were announced on Monday (March 23).

Butler Falls In Overtime To Notre Dame
Butler rallied from a 10-point deficit in the first half and grabbed a six-point lead in the second half in its battle with nationally-ranked Notre Dame. But a couple of key baskets in overtime helped lift third-seeded Fighting Irish past the Bulldogs, 67-64, in the third round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship. The tough loss left the Bulldogs with a final 23-11 record.

Butler Meets Longtime Foe In NCAA Tournament
Butler has advanced in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship for the ninth time in school history and will meet one of its longest-standing opponents in the third round of the tournament on Saturday, March 21. The Bulldogs will face #8 Notre Dame at CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pa., in an all-Indiana match-up at 9:40 p.m. (ET).

Bulldogs Advance In NCAA Tournament
Kellen Dunham scored a game-high 20 point and Butler used strong performances at the defensive end and at the free throw line to hold off Texas, 56-48, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburg, Pa. The victory sends the Bulldogs into a third round match against Notre Dame on Saturday (March 21).

Butler Returns To The NCAA Tournament
Butler is in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship for the seventh time in nine years and for the 13th time overall. The Bulldogs will meet Texas in the second round of the tournament on Thursday, March 19, at CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. The game will be the second of the afternoon session, starting at approximately 2:40 p.m. (ET), and will be televised on CBS.

The Butler men’s basketball team will enter the 2015 NCAA Tournament as a No. 6 seed in the Midwest Region. The Bulldogs will face No. 11 seed Texas on Thursday, March 19 in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Bulldogs Fall In Overtime At BIG EAST Tournament
Five different Xavier players combined for 14 points in overtime and the No. 6-seed Musketeers rallied to beat No. 3-seed Butler, 67-61, in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Tournament Presented by New York Life at Madison Square Garden on Thursday (March 12). The loss dropped the No. 22-ranked Bulldogs to 22-10 on the season.
