DETROIT (AP) - Ryvon Coville had a career-high 19 points and six rebounds to lead Detroit Mercy to a 54-48 win over Butler on Saturday.
Rulon Harris hit all four of his free-throw attempts in the last 24 seconds to help Detroit (13-10, 7-6 Horizon League) secure its fourth consecutive win. Harris had seven points and had six assists in the game.
The Bulldogs (11-12, 6-7) led most of the game but managed just one field goal in the last four minutes.
Mike Monserez had a chance to tie it up with 25 seconds to play, but his running jump shot bounced off the front of the rim.
The loss ended Butler's three-game winning streak.
Coville, whose previous best game also was against the Bulldogs, made eight of his nine field-goal attempts and was 3-for-3 at the free-throw line. He scored 10 of the Titans first 11 second-half points and helped Detroit outscore Butler 26-16 in the paint.
Bruce Horan, who hit three 3-pointers in the first five minutes of the game, led the Bulldogs with 15 points.
