CHICAGO (AP) - Martell Bailey scored 22 points to lead Illinois-Chicago to a 64-54 win over Butler late Saturday.
Cedric Banks added 16 points and four assists for Illinois-Chicago (22-7, 12-4 Horizon League).
Illinois-Chicago won its tenth straight, and the victory tied the school mark for regular season victories.
The Flames have sole possession of second place in the Horizon League, which means they will have a bye in next week's league tournament.
Illinois-Chicago trailed 10-4 early, before responding with a 24-10 run. The Flames led 28-20 at halftime.
Banks opened the second half with back-to-back three-pointers to give Illinois-Chicago a 14-point lead.
Butler rallied to cut the Flames' lead to 51-48 with about four minutes to play, but Illinois-Chicago hit 11-of-13 free throws in the final stretch to seal the win.
