Bulldogs Down South Dakota State, 85-48

BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) - Eighteen points apiece from Brandon Polk and Bruce Horan led Butler to an 85-48 win over South Dakota State Wednesday night.
The winning Bulldogs (7-5) shot 58 percent in the first half to lead 41-27 and pulled away in the second half when South Dakota State (3-10) shot only 29 percent (8-of-28) from the field.
Polk was 9-of-12 from the field and led Butler rebounding with seven. Horan hit 5-of-7 3-point shots to lead the Bulldogs' 12-of-21 showing in 3-pointers.
South Dakota State finished with 33 percent shooting and went only 1-of-12 in 3-pointers. Ben Beran and Berte Mohamed each had 12 points for the Jackrabbits.
