Brandon Polk Signs Professional Contract In Europe

Former Butler basketball player Brandon Polk has signed a professional contract to continue his playing career in Europe. Polk will join Benetton Fribourg Olympic in Switzerland for the 2006-07 season.

Polk helped lead Butler to a 20-13 record and a berth in the National Invitation Tournament in 2005-06. He led the Bulldogs in scoring with an 18.0 average and finished second in rebounding with a 4.7 mark. The 6-6 forward was named Horizon League Player of the Year and was selected as Butler's Most Valuable Player. He further was named to the All-District 10 team by the National Association of Basketball Coaches and was a first team All-Horizon League selection.
