White Team Defeats Blue Squad In Butler Spring Game
Running back Sam Schrader rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown and quarterback Malcolm Weaver passed for a pair of scores to lead the White Team to a 57-44 victory over the Blue Team in the annual Butler Spring Football Game on Saturday, April 18. The game at the Butler Bowl wrapped up five weeks of spring football practice.

Butler will end five weeks of spring football practice with its annual Blue-White Spring Game on Saturday, April 18. The intersquad game will kickoff at 2 p.m., at the Butler Bowl, and admission is free.

Spring officially begins this weekend, and so does Butler spring football. The Bulldogs will hold the first of 15 spring practices on Friday, March 20, at the Butler Bowl with an eye on the team’s annual Spring Game.

Five overall home games, including four against Pioneer Football League opponents will highlight the 2015 Butler football schedule. The Bulldogs will play three non-conference games in September beginning with the season opener at Indiana State on Sept. 5.

The Pioneer Football League released its annual Academic Honor Roll on Thursday (Feb. 4). A total of 567 student-athletes from the 11 member institutions were honored, and included in that group were 64 football players from Butler.

Shannon, Schrader, DiBalsamo Earn Top Butler Football Honors
Senior Bret Shannon, redshirt-freshman Sam Schrader and redshirt-sophomore Guy DiBalsamo claimed the top individual awards at the annual Butler Football Awards Banquet on Sunday (Jan. 18).
