Butler Downs Rival Albion 20-6

ALBION, Mich. (AP)--Matt Kobli threw for 230 yards and two touchdowns in a 20-6 victory over Albion on Saturday.

Kobli threw an 8-tard touchdown pass to Eddie McHale with 13:04 left in the second quarter for the Bulldogs (1-0), an FCS team from the Pioneer League. Kobli added a 16-yard scoring pass to Luke Johnson with 12:47 left to play.

The Britons (0-1), a Division III team from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, got a 26-yard field goal from Mychal Galla in the first quarter and a 39-yarder in the second.

Ricky Trujillo led Butler's rushing attack with 45 yards on 11 carries, and McHale led all receivers with seven catches for 63 yards.

Tom Fusee completed 11-of-20 passes for 115 yards for the Britons, and Aaron Dolkowski carried 13 times for 70 yards.

The Bulldogs finished with 352 yards of total offense to 248 for Albion, had a 19-10 advantage in first downs and allowed The Britons to convert only 2-of-13 third-down opportunities.
