Strong Finish Lifts Butler At Horizon League Championship
Senior Kyle Thomas shot a two-under-par 70 to spark a strong final round showing and lift Butler to fifth place in the final team standings at the Horizon League Mens Golf Championship, which concluded at Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, Ky., on Tuesday (April 27).

Bulldogs Finish 11th At Crooked Stick Invitational
Butler, facing a strong tournament field, closed with its best round, but still wound up 11th at the Crooked Stick Invitational, which wrapped up at Crooked Stick Golf Club on Tuesday, April 20. Illinois won the 54-hole tournament, hosted by Indiana.

Butler Men Finish Second At Big Four Meet
Butler had three of the Top 5 individuals, but still came up two strokes shy of team champ DePauw at the Big Four Meet held at Crooked Stick Golf Club on Thursday (April 8). The Bulldogs finished ahead of Hanover and Wabash in the four-team competition.

Butler Places 12th At Adidas Hoosier Invitational
Freshman Andrew Wegeng recorded a Top 15 individual finish and Butler wound up 12th in the team competition at the 54-hole adidas Hoosier Invitational, which concluded on Sunday, April 4. Host Indiana University won the 19-team tournament.

Butler Places Seventh At Butler Spring Invitational
Butler had all five players score between 74 and 79, but the Bulldogs still finished seventh at the rain-shortened Butler Spring Invitational, which concluded at Prestwick Country Club on Tuesday (March 23). Loyola and Dayton tied for the team title in the nine-team meet.

Bulldogs Finish 13th At Florida Tournament
The Butler mens golf team squared off against a field dominated by southern schools and wound up placing 13th at the Don Benbow Invitational at Jacksonville Beach Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday, March 8-9. Laval won the 15-team tournament, hosted by the Bulldogs.

Bulldogs Tie For Ninth At Thunderbird Invite
While Indianapolis was getting hit with a second round of snow, the Butler mens golf team was getting an early jump on the spring season at the Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational in St. George, Utah. The Bulldogs wound up tied for ninth in the two-day tournament with a 36-hole score of 612.

Butler Finishes 10th At Dayton Flyer Invitational
Freshman Andrew Wegeng shot the best back-to-back rounds of his young collegiate career to capture a Top Five individual finish and help Butler to a 10th place team finish at the Dayton Flyer Invitational, which finished in Kettering, Ohio, on Tuesday (Oct. 20). The tournament was Butlers final competition of the fall season.

Butler lost ground in the final round of the tournament and wound up tied for 12th in the final team standings of the D. A. Weibring Intercollegiate, hosted by Illinois State University. The two-day, 54-hole tournament at Weibring Golf Club concluded on Monday (Oct. 12).

The Bulldogs, who entered the final day in a tie for fourth place in the 13-team meet, wound up placing third in the final standings.

Butler turned in a strong second-round performance and wound up tied for seventh place in the final team standings at the rain-shortened Telich/Sunlife Financial Invitational, hosted by Cleveland State on Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 28-29). Malone College captured the captured the championship in the 12-team event.

Butler Finishes Eighth At The Fairway Club Invitational
Freshman Matt Vogt shot a final round one-under-par 71 to grab a Top 10 individual finish and help Butler to an eighth place team finish at the Fairway Club Invitational, hosted by Nebraska at ArborLinks Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 14-15). Drake led wire-to-wire and captured the team title in the 12-team meet.
